: We rescued a large female IG from a girl that new nothing about the care of a Iguana
: anyway she was feeding her a half block of tofu every other day along with ALOT of worthless
: greens.

WOW! That is a *lot* of tofu! Tofu is even higher in protein (by weight and volume) than any kind of animal protein. Also, since it is made out of soybeans, it has a really bad cal/phos ratio.

: Well now that we got her on a better diet and a warmer cage she seems to be alot more active
: and just as loving but the thing that worrys me is her very fat legs front and back we just got her about
: a week ago and we are looking for a good vet to look at her maybe she is just fat I hope so

Generally that kind of swelling is caused by MBD. :( Are the swollen areas hard, or does it feel kind of soft? If it's MBD the swollen areas will probably feel pretty hard, not soft like muscle tissue. Some iguanas do have chunky legs, but considering her previous diet.... :(

A vet will definitely be able to tell you what's really going on. Most igs with MBD do eventually become healthy. Just give her lots of good food, and lots of natural sunlight.
