I believe for there to be any truth to that statement, it would mean that someone or something was ingesting (eating) it. Or smearing it all over themselves so that it was ingested via the skin.
I cannot see that either a study would have been done on that, or that a group of people who regularly ingest (or play with) ig poop have been diagnosed with cancer, raising concerns of ig poop being carcinogenic. Also, not knowing much about the logistics of different cancers...it still doesn't seem likely to me that an animal by-product would be carcinogenic.
I believe the most likely answer here is that through mouth to mouth travels, the concern of people contracting the bacterial infection of salmonella from ig poop is the real issue.
I don't think anyone is worried enough about people regularly eating (or even touching)ig poop that it would be looked into. We have little enough studies on the basics of igs!
Not to mention ... any peoples who would regularly ingest ig poop or regularly handle it w/o protection have a lot bigger health worries than carcinogens LOL!!
