iZ update + stories ... (long of course!)

iZ has decided to be in a bad mood along with the rest of the newly non-smoking family ... heat index was 113 degrees here yesterday + i think that's pushing it for him too ... hubby put the room a/c in the livingroom window and blocked off the doorway with a quilt ... *shaking head* ... guess who's supper shelf is right next to this big maroon quilt!?!? yep ... and he did not like it *or* the cooler room! big temper tantrum! so iZ is hanging out upstairs for a few days til the heat wave breaks ...

i went up last night to turn his lights off for bedtime and he was on the opposite side of the room from the salad plate he'd thrown on the floor so i couldn't really see him ... i'm talkin' to him and i pick up the plate and just as i'm turning towards him + saying "do you want the rest of your oranges?", i realize he's zooming down his ramp and has taken a flying leap at me ... then his face slammed into the remainder of his salad + he smeared orange alllll over his face!!! OMG it was soooo hard to *not* LOL at him!!! so i just told him a simple yes-bob would've been ok too ... ROTF ...

well, he must be still a bit p***y about that whole thing today ... i heard him upstairs roaming and *stomping* around after i gave him a drink at noon ... i went up a couple hours later for a nice little nap and he'd left a nice big poop for me right on my pillow!!!!! my only reaction was "kewl, that's the biggest he's pooped for a week + 1/2!" and i took my nap ... with no pillow! ... well, gotta give him credit, he's working as hard as i am to cross the language barrier we have ... can't decide if he's trying to say that's what he feels like or that's what he thinks of all these squirts in the mouth lately???

and ... have been putting off saying this but ... he's going thru a bit of a relapse with the kidney probs + is back on meds and extra drinks with the good ol' oral syringe ... 25-50cc a day ... and he's so thirsty that he's very cooperative ... his tongue, throat + dewlap are swollen ... his mouth doesn't indicate that he's dehydrated but his skin just 'feels dry' ... but ... the parts of him that are working on shedding, are actually loosening + shedding instead of being so stuck ... nothin' is ever black + white with iZ ... but he's eating/pooping good and, despite the last day or so, is in a good mood and has been snuggly ...

now, i have to go find a spare pillow ...
