Many may disagree with me on this one.... but as far as Gilbert goes.. when his bowl is empty, I feed him again. Sometimes it's 3 times a day, sometimes it's 7 or 8 (million) ;)

I have always figured (with the dogs) make sure they have plenty of food in the bowl at all times, they'll eat as much as they want/need.

Ok... let the flaming begin! (I have my marshmallows ready)
