I had the same problem with a 11/2 old male going through his marurity. The only thing he wanted
to do was bight me every time I got him out and try to escape. After i recieved three stitches on my
finger, I made the decision this iguana will not intimidate me anymore.
I went to the local hardware store and brought a heavy duty pair of leather gloves, and each time I held the iguana
I wore these gloves. The iguana continued to bite but to his suprise I kept on holding him. This went on for about two weeks
but the iguana showed amazing signs of tameness. He also started to pick up what I wanted from him and also what I did not want him to do. eventually
this iguana learned to go to the sliding glass door when it was time for him to defecate. The iguana would do his businees and comeright back in.

Patience and preserverance are the best human characteristics to deal with these amazing lizards.
