: I found a vet who was recommended by the local herp society and took Squiggy to see him.
The prognosis WAS the seminal plugs, not the prolapsed bowels as 2 other "exotic specialist"
vets had told me. He DID NOT recommend castration, but suggested that hormonal shots were an alternative> After being bit and chased for days, I decided to give that route a shot. So, when I get home I noticed that he wasn't moving his leg (where he got the shot). So, I call the vet's office and was told that it was normal for it to be swollen (it was) and that if it dosen't retun to normal in a day, to bring him back. Next day it's still the same & Squiggy still has "the hots".
The vet wasn't in 'til the next day & they made me an appointment. Right before the appointment, he starts to move his leg slightly. So,they said to wait & see if it returns to normal. It's been two days & he's made a * little*progress. Do you know anything about this?(I heard that you can paralyze their leg if an injection is given wrong, & it may have been you that informed me of this back in July on this forum.)By the way, Thank You for all your help!
I've been quite mis-informed by books, ect., and your info. has been quite accurate.
Tina & Squiggy
P.S.: He has calmed down from the hormonal
shot & the green towel you suggested has become a iguana version of Linus's (spelling?) blanket from the Peanuts.
