We have a rescue here that had completely rubbed off her upper lip and scales and skin around the notrils. When we got her her upper lip was a hardened black scab. We soaked and applied ointment until it softened up and came off. After that it healed quite nicely altho her lip and nose seem to have no scalation pattern, just soft skin. The ridges around her nostrils never came back. She does shed this area frequently. Hope this helps a little. We love our Isabelle even with her funny face. :)
