Sleestack had one stuck again-- now that I realized that's what it was today, I know it's been there for over a week--STUCK in his vent of course. It is not always very obvious because the end you see looks like poo that won't come out (like he's constipated only he's not). So after a warm bath soak and some KY jelly, I attempted to remove it myself this time. He was quite alarmed but was a pretty good sport--just tried to get away and he flinched quite a bit which makes me feel terrible. Anyway, I worked it loose and it popped out, although some may still be in there. He looks a lot more comfy now in that region. That could explain why he's been a bit hyper this week too. He usually gets more active when he's got one stuck!
So I didn't have to take him to the vet this time for it to be extracted but the last one that got stuck was HUGE and I could not get it loose-- His whole vent was forced open from it and it looked horribly painful. This one wasn't so bad.
The only other possible bad news is that his stool looks runny again. I'll give him a couple days since he had some fruit and has been dealing with the plug issue. His poop looked very good after the antibiotics but now is worrying me once again. I'll probably take another sample to the vet the end of the week if it doesn't improve.
