When the vet had said that I need to seriously get Stevie's protein intake down she was discouraging a lot of the leafy greens I was giving him, so I am confused??? Consult with the vet, if anything, it'll make you feel better. (and then consult with another vet for a 2nd opinion). Wish I knew more on the subject, but it seems you are the pro in this department already.
