also,,normally a vet won't operate unless there are complications from something foreign in their stomachs.There is always risks when putting an ig to sleep for the surgery.
It might be that your ig is going into season.It seems as tho they go into season whenever it suits them and they sometimes go off food.Keep your eyes on them.
