I would keep this in the back of your mind, for what it's worth. Many....and I mean Many of these so called Blue iguanas, are nothing more than regular iguanas, but seem to, at a iglet stage, have blue markings around their neck and head area. But as they grow older, this fades and the iguana is just like everyone elses. It's a selling point, that they have sold thousands; for the reason of it being a "Blue Diamond" Iguana. I'd like to see a picture of your iguana, if you could post one please. Also, some companies claim Captive bred but you have to be careful, some catch wild females and let them lay the eggs, then hatch the iglets for CB. This would not be, in my opinion, a true CB iguana.
I won't hide the fact that I am totally against the purchase of iguanas CB or wild. And I will be, until the pet trade stops the selling of these reptiles at such low prices. $5.00 each is just asking for someone who doesn't know anything about the care of them, to go out and buy one.
