: My male ig is in the front room too...he's gotten so used to my weird hours that he pretty much sleeps thru anything...I watched the finale of Survivor too (the only time I ever watched it!) what a trip...that Sue chick was scandalous wasn't she? Anyway...yeah igs especially iglets do need their sleep...if not stress, then illness, then sleep forever more. If you're gonna be up at weird hours cover her enclosure or move her to another unlit and warm area. They can sleep thru some low level noise but do need it dark 10-12 hours. For nail clipping I'd start gettin him used to manipulating his little toes...rubbing, massaging, holding etc...for when you gotta do that dirty deed of clipping em ;-)
: also great to get em used to handling their toes cuz as often as he's gonna be shedding you may need to remove retained shed around the toes/nail to prevent shed stangulating the toe and cutting off circulation! Well its so hard to come up with a name especially when you don't know its sex (12-18 months) maybe pick an androgenous name or wait a while. Igs do seem to know their names! Well mine have anyway...I'll call to mine and they'll turn their heads and look at me like "yeah whaddya want!" lolol Your igs name will come to you.
