If you haven't had the opportunity to do so yet, I'd like to suggest that you read thru some of the posts here at this forum. There's a lot of good info here from some long term ig keepers. I learn something almost weekly from here! Of interest to you right now (since chatting) might be the posts re spaying/neutering AND one called "how to tell you have the right vet" or words to that effect.
