They were probably Iguanas & Water Dragons (look alike when young) more...

I've seen them housed together and an inexperienced person would have a hard time telling the difference when they are very young. I cannot believe it would have been a beardie because an idiot could tell the difference btw those two creatures-- they look nothing alike!
