no, it's not inhumane! i know the super glue thing sounds kinda weird but really it's about the same thing as sewing a wound shut (which *also* sounds weird if ya think about it!) ... this isn't just an animal or reptile thing, i believe they do have some version of super glue that they use on humans in place of stitches ... (tho at a much higher cost than glue of course!)
what i personally don't like is that the vet couldn't at least take a moment + reassure you when you called ... again, personally, i fire vets (or doctors!) like that ...
while having a wound re-open isn't a good thing, unless there was also alot of bleeding with it, it's not an emergency sort of situation, just something that needs attention 1st thing in the morning ... but the vet should have taken the time to tell you that ...
i would be hesitant to close the wound without having a vet take a look at it 1st + close it themselves ... (but then, you all know what a worrier i am!)
