Yes I have heard of using super glue. I had a chameleon with an old wound and a friend ( who I also regard as a reptile expert) said if it was a fresh wound I could use super glue to close it. Super glue is used often on turtle shells and I believe reptile skin (scales) allow this type of approach. Good Luck, Val
: First, i would like to thank iZ's mom, xta, and Kitty for suggesting i take my ig to the vet for its cut, very smart move. The vet said he had broke his leg so he put a cast on it. He also said baby iguanas heal a little faster so he will be ok in a couple weeks. Everything looked fine at the vet so i took him home. When we got back I noticed his cut had opened up but even bigger, the skin was seperated a good bit around his knee. I called the vet back and he said they were walking out the door and he told me to do something that i felt was absolutly inhumane, he told me to use finger nail pollish or super glue to bring his skin back together ,then bring him back in the morning, that sounded just plain cruel to me but i had no other choice, Does that make sense to anyone? I feel horrible for the little guy.
