: Hi, My Ig, Albert, was fine until ~ 2 wks ago when I noticed within a day or so swelling that almost looked as if his very thick tail had become visible( via lumps side to side on his lower back)
: I've been feeding him a salad of lucchini, yellow squash, carrots(to a lesser degree) , turnip greens, kale, mustard greens, occassional diced apple pieces, grape or 2 diced up. and one of the 2 salads /day I sprinkle repcal d3/calcium & ground up centrum
: multivitamins on top & stir it in. He eats it all so i know he gets the supplements. He has all flourecent UVA&B lights ceramic heater bulbs above his enclosure, most days several hrs actual uninhibited sunlight, and temps from 80-85 at night to 90-100 during the day. He has no pain, but it showed up suddenly. it's not painful to the touch(from his reactions) and he's still quite an acrobat. He is currently 32"STL and had grown7 inches since I got him 5 months ago via petstore ADOPTION.
: Please post or email me with suggestions, and I'm still qualifying vets, so far not alot of luck. I'm not stopping till this guy has a clean bill of health or well on his road to recovery. Thanks!

It's hard to say with limited information. Swollen or flared lips areas as a sign of too much vitamin A. It also can give you the same symptoms as low vitamin D.
A low vitamin D diet will show many signs. First, a slight trembling of the back toes. Then "Rubber Jaw" the lower jaw bone becomes soft and bendable. Kinks in the back bone, general trembling and dragging its back legs, swollen legs and walking in an unnatural way are all signs to beware.
Your UV light must be within 18 in. And not going through any pain glass. Also the flourecent tubes loose most it's useful range flourecent flourecent in 6 to 12 months
Don't Guess, get a nutrition book. Many fruits and vegetables are extremely high in phosphorus, creating an unhealthy nutrient balance.
Getting too hot from a heater or light can also give you a curved spine.
You need a vet.
