I know that it was a tuff decision you had to make. As humans, I think that we will always beat yourselves up no matter what decision we make. If you release your animals from suffering you wonder if there was something more you should have done. If you don't you kick yourself for waiting to long. No matter what the decision you always feel guilty.
As time pasts may you remember more and more of the happy times and less and less of the pain of having to let him go.
