for anyone confused on who kirby is, he is iZ's brother, that iZ decided to adopt out. not that iZ didnt love his little brother that bon brought to him,ohhh noooo! iZ was just a little freaked by the little green vacuum. you see, iZ saw just how much of HIS food was being wasted, by going into the otherwise cutie pie and said to his humommy *tHiS iS EnOugH Of THiS....*
well, you get the picture...
so i jumped in the truck and headed off to iZland...
kirby is getting settled in. he is still pretty scared. everyday is getting better. the cats have thrown him into a panic right now. but he is starting to believe me when i tell him *they are just pussy cats...he is the king!* well...sort of... lol
i think kirby is just beautiful. he has lots of blues and a really dark head that is very striking! And a dewlap that is the envy of all the guys in town! i am in the process of cage designing, in my head only so far though...*this could take awhile to sort through all the cob webs...* lol. i HAVE decided just where the cage will go though, so thats a start.
i enjoyed my trip, it was so nice to be able to sit down and talk to people that understood my love for iguanas, in person. i havent met anyone in my hometown that has a honest love for them. lots of people own them, but not one of them, are owned by their iguana, such as i. i am soooo hooked.
when fatty ran away, or whatever happened...i told everyone that i couldnt get another. they are just too much work. too much worry. too much. ok, yeah, whatever! fatty is still missing and i find myself searching endlessly for her. i was in a town 45 min away last week, eating in a restaurant, and caught myself, staring at the trees outside. yeah sue, she is going to be up that tree, ok! :0/ what a dork! i am just starting to come to realize just what she means to me. i dont think i understood what a huge part of my heart she holds. anyway...
louie is great...he is all of 15 inches. and has a nasty hiss! lmao (but not in front of the baby!) i was worried about him 2 days ago. he was lazy, didnt want to eat, very defensive, and his color just wasnt right...yesterday he shed his whole body! today, he is fine...amazing how they can freak me out, and i just go into worry mode and fail to see the obvious...geesshh!
