: I just got a baby iguana. I've had him since saturday and already he seems extremely calm and well tame. When I first got him, he would always try "playing dead" where he'd close his eyes for a long time to see if I go away or put him down, but I think he's over that now. Whenever I try to sit him down in his cage or pick him up he acts kind of grumpy and when I'm sitting down with him he'll try to get onto something nearby like a desk. When I try to get him his little dewlap springs out and he tries to slap me. How can I turn him to a more calm state when I'm picking him up or getting him off things?
