We had a great time at the expo-- even though we stayed at a flea bag motel. I hung out with the kingsnakers and the pogoniacs-- had a blast-- lizards, snakes, and turtles running all over their hotel rooms! I brought Flapjack the beardie so everyone got a chance to meet him. Sleestack the ig would have been too freaked out so left him at home. I didn't buy anymore critters 'cause 2 is enough for me now but I got some supplies and gifts for the lizards. Aside from the normal cool reptiles one sees, a couple made a real impression on me-- the Sungazer and the Red eyed Trib-- very neat lizards. The Trib was actually affordable ($125) Forget the Sungazer (thousands). I saw a 2 headed snake for somewhere around $50,000 and a lot of 2 headed turtles (kinda scarey)! Kingsnake had a booth there as well--so I complimented them on their forums. Anyway, sorry more of you couldn't make it as I would like to meet as many great ig lovers as possible. The sad news is they were selling igs for as little as $5 in little margirine containers--uggghh! soooo disposable..... speaking of disposable I saw the NIAD booth. I remembered some of the igs from last year-- particularly the sweet female with thermal burns all over her head/neck (she's also missing an arm). They say she's the nicest of all of them. You gotta love those cuties! I'll save the other stories for the rest of the gang-- like what they bought and/or rescued while in Daytona!
Anyway--put this on the calandar for next year guys!
