MBD only occures if Iguanas don't have proper lighting and of course with Igs the diet goes hand in hand. If you've been reading MK literature you should be ok. I asked how old your Ig is...because if you just got the Iguana .... the previous owner may not have cared for it properly. It could very well be MBD If you've had it for a year or so now....and the lights and diet have been incorrect...then that's most likely what the problem is. Or could be an infection like Samcin suggested...perhaps an abcess. That would be great if thats all it was. But even an abscess should be delt with by a vet. You shouln't try to care for these things without being trained first. You can cause further infection by lancing an abscess to make it drain etc etc..causing death once again..MBD can be helped...but the serious deformaties that occur will never go away. You can stop it now from getting any worse...but see a vet asap. Good luck. Any other questions...post here...the people at this forum have been very helpful to me and so many others.. :o)
