OK so not to drag this out anymore before I get bloodwork back tomorrow (vet is off today...grrr), I am now wondering if this is a respitory infection?? I am reading the signs of kidney failure and they say it comes on pretty quick and by the time you see what's going on externally it is usually too late (not always though!)and it happens fast. This has been going on at least 2 wks now. He is pretty alert and active, just not eating as much and going to the bathroom as much. He does open his mouth sometimes now and the tongues falls out a little when he does, and I can hear him exhaling sometimes...but usually it's when I am trying to get him eat and stressing him out a little. So I am wondering if this could be signs of a respitory infection-which I hope can be cured with antibiotics.
