*how* are you picking him up??? with iZ, i've learned that if i make sure to let him grasp my wrist with his legs, base of tail/vent supported by my wrist *Before* i pick up the front end of him, he's much much calmer, he feels more in control that he won't fall ...
if it's been a while since you could handle this ig, it's gonna take a while to regain it's trust!!! *Lots of Patience* is the key with igs!!! and since they *are* wild animals, 99% of them will never be *tame* the way cats/dogs are ...
