: even a NONaggressive ig would be awfully testy after being denied his usual roaming time/daily exercise and human contact .... (who fed him while she was gone?)
: MY opinion is that this ig was IMPROPERLY cared for and this woman gives igs a bad name!
: PROPER CARE in MY book includes knowing your animal well enough to be capable of reading its behavior and intent .... and hey ... some COMMON SENSE for goodness sake!!! if you tease a chained dog long enough and then he gets loose one day, he's VERY PROBABLY gonna attack you in retaliation .... is it the animals fault or is the supposedly higher in intellegence human to
: blame???? IMO the ig didn't attack for NO REASON .....
: whew .... ok .. i feel better after ranting now ..*grin*
: i DO appreciate the yechy picture .... graphic examples are a good way to make sure we remember what igs ARE capable of ....
: :P + :)
: iZ + mom
: think i'll go give iZ an extra orange section to stay on his good side .....
I agree with you there.. Here's another rule.. No matter HOW cute they are.. they DON'T like to be kissed on the lips! :)
Think about it... Why would any SANE person, put an Ig up to their face like that? I'm sure that he was probably fussing before this happened..yet everyone is shocked that he chomped her! Truth is, he probably had a bad time at Iguana-Camp :( (probably made him go to bed early...and didn't let him watch TV!)
