i was letting fatty bask yesterday afternoon in her new outdoor cage. she somehow got out and is gone now. i had tested the cage for several days indoors and was sure she was too big to escape out of it. i remained with her for the first couple of days, outside, and all appeared to be ok and ig tight. i am wondering now if a kid let her out... i dont know what happened.
anyway today i will search the trees around the house and let the neighborhood know she is loose, call the vet and the animal shelter, and let my sister know (she works at the zoo, just in case someone would call them) last month someone called the zoo about an iguana in their tree and the owner of the ig just happened to work at the zoo. she had lost him 4 months previously. the iguana was found 4 blocks away from her home. she was so excited.
anyway, i have left food outside and her cage door open...hoping she will get the idea its time to come home now and quit freaking out her mom.
