In the last 3 weeks our iguanas have been discharging large amounts of salts too. I'm wondering if it could be also a seasonal thing???
If I could ever get my submit form working on the website, I could use this topic for everyone to post and compare information for finding an answer. We could list what we feed each of our iguanas, then compare food items with other iguana owners diets and maybe find a few items of food which might hold the key to the overload of salt discharge.
Something else I was thinking about, although we don't live "right by" the ocean, we're within a few hours drive from the Atlantic, could enough salt be airborne, that the iguanas are inhaling air that has a salt compound in it? I know it's reaching alittle into right field, but.....salt is definitely discharged into the air around oceans, so.....
