Even deer must eat animal protein occasionally.. unless they brush off every blade of grass before grazing. :)

But that post made it look like it was ok to feed baby igs eggs and bugs, which I don't agree with...

: They DO eat animal matter occationally, because of the fact that protein is scarse ( spelling?? ) in the nature, and when they bump into it they eat it. However, as far as I understand it, several field studies have shown that they don't actively search and eat animal protein..iglet nor adults! Studies of their stomache contents have not contained any animal matter. IF they have, it's supposed to have been ingested WITH the leaves and other plant matters, by mistake!

: I don't know, but it sound right to me, considering the fact that Iguanas don't have the enzymes to break down animal protein correctly!
