I think full tail sheds can take quite awhile. Sleestack's will go in segments-- and sometimes take over a month before all the segments are ready to shed.

If you are soaking the ig, I think nature usually takes it's course-- although some people have complained about shed getting stuck from time to time. My last ig had some stubborn spines when they got very long (extra soaks and uncomfortable manipulation for some of those to come off-- otherwise they would build up until they wanted to break completely off which was no good either)
