are you *sure* it's not a respiratory infection??? thick + yellow doesn't sound good ... but if it's crystalizing, that does sound more like sneezing salt than anything else ... do igs get something similar to 'hayfever'???? i wonder if there's something in the air that's irritating his resp. system???? has the pollen count been high where you are??
i took a brief look at the USDA site for sodium values of the foods you mentioned, thinking maybe one of them would be really high ... nooo, they're all fairly low in sodium (dandelion greens *are* high, btw) ...
i'd get alittle extra water in him to help keep things loose ... maybe start removing even more from his diet and see if he's reacting to one of his foods that didn't bother him before????
sorry, not much help ... maybe it's just one of those "hey, lemme see how worried i can make humomy get" things????
