tail sheds are the worst shed for fatty to lose. it took her and i about a month to get rid of it all. i used the extra soaking time in the tub, frequent misting, upping the humidity level in the room and helping her myself by slightly rubbing her tail every time after her bath. eventually we got rid of it all. pay special attention to the tip of the tail.
you can also use a small amt of aloe also... this usually works great.
fatty is going through a full body shed, legs and all now and shes vvveryy cranky!! i cant wait until this is over with too...

: Well, as I said before, we came back from our 30 day vacation and Baby had grown two inches! He was just finishing up a shed but still has about 3/4's of his tail to go. That stuff is hangin' on for dear life. I've been giving him baths and misting him regularly. What else do you recommend doing and how long does it normally take for a tail shed? In other words, when do I start worrying? We have been home one week and 2 days. Thanks. J
