As far as finding a good protein source, I have had difficulty myself. My iguana won't even touch his food if I sprinkle alphalfa on it. (I've tried it several times, for about a year now.)

I also wanted to comment also on the other things you're feeding your Ig. It sounds like you could stand to add some acorn squash to his diet, along with some more nutritious fruits. Raspberries are fine, but figs are best. Mine seems to love eggplant, as well, but I don't know yet if it's good for him. (Still trying to find out about it on Melissa Kaplan's page.) Also, my Ig loves Yellow Summer Squash, and cilantro (an herb). I've heard that in the UK, they call Collard Greens, "Spring greens". So you might want to look for Spring Greens in your local market. I'm sure they exist--it's just a matter of finding them. Sometimes, if you tell your local market that you wished they would start to carry a certain kind of produce, they will (this is usually done at no extra cost to you).

Hope this helps! So glad to know you're concerned with feeding him the best stuff you can get a hold of. Good job so far!
