I recently built a new 8'x8'x3.5' enclosure for my 2 Igs (Mushu and Yoshi). They just moved in a few days ago, and they haven't eaten since. I knew that they would probably be stressed from being in new surroundings so I took the branches, substrate and other various things out of the old cage and put it in the new cage hoping it might make them feel a little more at home. Mushu has spent most of his (I say "his", but he's only 12" long so I don't know for sure) time on a branch from the old cage, and neither one has basked at all (and therefor gotten no UVB exposure since the UVB light is focused on the basking spot). Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to make them feel more at home? Should I leave them alone in there for a while so they can get used to it or should I continue to go in and spend time with them? Anyone have a similar experience when moving Igs to a new enclosure? Any advise/comments would be appreciated.
