hey everyone!!!!
Well don't know if you all noticed but I've been gone for a while..
Well I'm back now. It's been hectic lately.
I had to go get my two year old sons teeth crowned and filled -which he had to be put to sleep to do, really stressful for me...he inherited my crappy weak teeth..
Then I found out I was pregnant about 2 monthes ago or so.
I've been busy trying to find rides to the doctors, and stressing about if everything was alright, since I'm 'underwieght'(well skinny as h*ll - 5'6" and 115lbs and almost 5 monthes pregnant) and have had problems before. But so far the midwives (where I'm going they have 6 nurse-midwives and 2 -I think- doctors) say everything is looking good, other than the wieght issue - gotta try to gain a pound a week..getting sick of food..have to try 'ensure' to help with the gain. But they said it's rare to have blood results come back so good from someone underwieght, and that I must take good care of myself - I just can't gain wieght, checking into hyperthyroidism, but have to go get MORE blood drawn - I HATE needles...ow..I squirm and whine like a child as soon as they get the needle out and tie that rubber thing around my arm, my husband thinks it's funny.
I had my first ultrasound appointment on friday. And got to see my little one! The tech said everything looked ok, but they're not really allowed to tell you if something is wrong anyway. Not sure when I got pregnant, but so far they're estimating that I'm almost 5 monthes, 18 weeks 4 days, and due in the begining of Jan. I hope I can go full term this time, my son was born 9 weeks early, had a low lying placenta that started to seperate, that was scary. Trying not to stress to much. I am really excited though. The baby moves all the time, it feels so cool!!
Trying not to handle Spike, cuz of what salmonella can do to the unborn...he doesn't seem to mind though, he was never to big on being held. I am working on building his next enclosure. I hope to have it finished before the baby is born, cuz after that I'll be really busy and tired. But I'm going to have my brother in law come over and care for Spike and the turtle, Filbert - cleaning cages, changing water.
well I have to go and get lunch together.
I'll keep you all posted on how everything goes!
Roxanne
