Chicken wire is too sharp and messy. As far as I've seen there are 3 different kinds of mesh you can use-- a wire mesh (comes in different sized squares) but the edges on this stuff are really sharp and I've had many cuts on myself from it, so you have to be careful and make sure the edges are covered so your ig is safe) Then there is a plastic mesh that looks exactly the same. Both of these can be bought at home depot. The third is a rubber coated wire mesh which seems like a great idea-- but I'm not sure if they carry it at Home Depot since I have yet to buy this kind.
