Now, I'm not writing this to start some controversy, and I'm not saying that you're iguana wasn't having any problems, but it's virtually impossible for an iguana to choke on food like that. They don't breathe through their throats. They have a glottis, just like snakes, that basically allows them to breathe even if their throats are full of food. I just thought I'd let you know about the mechanics involved in case you didn't know.
