: i'd have been trying to figure out where the belly button was so i could do the Heimlich Manuever ... *grin*

hahaha i was just remembering back to the last time i had to do the heimlich manuever on a fellow employee who was choking on a piece of hard candy.
i successfully managed to free this poor man of his problem and we all went back to business at hand. (not noticing that, in fact, all that went flying across the room was his false teeth!)lol
i learned several things about the heimich manuever that day...

1. always check to make sure the desperate one is no longer choking! ( we were all laughing at the force in which the object flew, instead)

2. always investigate WHAT it was that flew out!

everyone sat down, right then and there, and decided on a universal sign for choking that we could use for our clueless coworkers.
slobbering and turning blue APPARENTLY wasnt working for our gang! gotta love us though!
oh by the way i eventually did notice and hurried to take another crack at it. and he is not to terribly scarred from my lack of nursing skills!
