yep! igs prefer to drink from moving water rather than a still pool (bowl) ... iZ has a big water bowl with a little bubbler in it to keep the water fresher longer ... he likes to drink right out of the part where it bubbles up like a drinking fountain instead of the pool part ... (it's cute!) ... that makes sense ... in the wild, running water is safer/cleaner to drink than still water is ...

as far as water making igs hungry??? if you have igs that are small enough to fit multiple ones in a bird cage to sun, they're small enough that they're most likely constantly hungry! *grin* ... maybe they wonder if the "rain" made any tasty leaves fall into the pool???? wonder if it's just that your timing coincides with their internal clock ... mid-morning when they've had a chance to wake up/warm up is when they first get hungry ...
