minga's mom is right about the tub training. mine uses the tub to poop every morning. first, i put just a little lukewarm water in the bottom of the tub and she poops after awhile. then i drain out the tub and rinse the poop away. then i start over, filling the bath with enough lukewarm water so that she can still stand in the water without difficulty. she stays in the bath for usually around 20 minutes. then she wants out.....
shes trained better than my 18 and 20 yr old sons!
: A warm bath to start with. Most iguanas like to do their business in water, so you could try putting her in a tub of warm water and see if she'll go for you that way. I'm still a new ig mom, so I haven't endeavored to potty teach yet... I'm still trying to get my 2 yr old daughter to do her business on the potty! Anyway, I think you've got the right idea giving her loving, comforting words : ) These guys require a lot of patience too! Good luck to you and yours. Sara
