: iZ seemed to be *thrilled* to be back on his old supper shelf in the livingroom after a month of not wanting to be social ... he happily chomped away at his salad ... all of a sudden, he stopped, he'd caught scent or sight of Kirby across the room ... (i hadn't bothered to put the blankie over Kirby'shouse, i figure they had to meet sooner or later ...)
: iZ spun around on his shelf and was gonna climb down onto my puter (*his* favorite trick, *my* least favorite ... he's got a perfectly nice lattice to climb down, he doesn't have to trash my desk more than it already is!) ... anyway, i digress ... *grin*
: so i got iZ + i took him over to Kirby's side of the room and set him on the back of the couch, about a foot from Kirby + his enclosure ... Kirby absolutely *froze*!!! ... iZ sat on there and bobbed like mad + then he'd wait for a reaction from Kirby ... Kirby never moved a muscle, he had flattened himself on his stick + never even blinked ... iZ would bobbobobobobobobobob and then wait for a reaction + then bobobobobobob some more ... the entire time, i sat on the couch + pet iZ and talked to him and told him how teeny tiny Kirby was and that Kirby isn't even allowed upstairs and certainly *won't* be ever sharing iZ's room + all sorts of mushy stuff how iZ is the very best dragon baby in the whole world ...
: iZ stayed pretty calm the whole time ... he'd bob at Kirby but wasn't posturing or anything ... since Kirby's non-reaction was the appropriate response as far as iZ was concerned, all is ok! after about 1/2 hour of this, i was feeling *really* bad for Kirby, but i'd *had* to make sure my 1st-hatched was ok with this ... i took iZ and hugged him + put him back up on his supper shelf and he went back too eating like nothing had happened!!! *whew*
: then i look over at Kirby and *he'd* come down off his little shelf and was chowing down his supper as well!!! *kewl* ... neither one was traumatized by it!!
: shortly after all this, my DIL brought the 2 g-daughters over and that was too much for iZ ... he doesn't mind the 2yo, but the crying 2mo totally stresses him out ... so he went back upstairs ... *grin*
: and now, it's bath/supper time again ... hope i haven't jynxed myself by giving such a glowing report of last night!!!! i'd really pictured having to steri-strip myself back together ... *grin*
: would *love* to get a picture of the 2 boys together!! it just blows my mind!!! it'll definitely have to be a 2 person job tho, don't think i'd try to hold both boys at once, even tho i do have a nice sotck of betadine and steri-strips ... *grin* ...
: off to build salads + fix baths!
: Bon.
