i also work in a pet store (and after hearing some of the stories off these forums) i am glad to say that are reptile department is great. but yeah, customers are funny. "i want sanke" "well what kind do you want? what are you interested in?" "i want a yellow....." they are just funny. i actually had some one ask if the corn snakes eat corn. man. yeah we also sell iguanas and a lot of people come in wanting one because they are so cute. thankfully we hav a 5 and a half foot male iguana on display so the size discourages a lot of people. but, some say well i will just keep him til he gets to big for me. blah blah blah. dumb. the next best thing to discourage people is price. yeah igs are cheap but when you tell them 250 - 300 bucks for a set up, with a tank that will only hold it for a year at most (40 bdr) they usually say we'll think about it and you never see them again. i don't get why people want to put such a lizard in a 10 gallon aquarium. thats gonna kill it. poor animals. there are a lot of unqualified reptile owners out there. people who just don't know, know but don't care, or just plain ignorant. well i rambled on for quite a while here. later

p.s. anyone live in south eastern wisconsin? lady came in today who works in a exotic animal shelter. she says that she has like 10 medium size igs that need to be adopted. medium as in 2 -21/2 feet. email me or post if interested and i can get you her number. they also have a 13 1/2 foot burmese python if anyone is interested in that. (normal color)
