male igs *can* be neutered ... prob is that it doesn't always help with mating season aggression because hormones are made in other organs as well as in the testes ... it's very likely that you + your ig could go thru him having major surgery (+ risking his life) and then not have any positive benefits from it (ie: he'd still be just as aggressive) ... and it is way more of a major surgery than for mammals because the testicles are inside ...

i personally wouldn't do it ... but then iZ + i are managing to get thru his nasty season in one piece, at least so far ... *grin* ... he may be 5' long but i've got the weight advantage over him! LOL ... (+ i do a *great* Alpha dance!!!)
