It's quite possible that maybe it's *you* that's not getting it. You can't feed an iguana (or any other creature for that matter) only what they want. If, for instance, you gave a child nothing but what he wanted to eat, you would have an *incredibly* unhealthy child on your hands. It's my opinion that an iguana needs a bit more than greens for a healthy diet.
Tracie: What kind of squash are you giving to your iguana that he's not into? If you're really concerned about his not eating the mixture, you can try throwing everything into a food processor and grind it into small pieces together. Your ig won't be able to pick out his favorite things and will get a full balanced meal. If your iguana won't eat that, but he's got a full tail base and is healthy, you should try not caving in and just continue offering the fresh mix daily until he eats. Some igs prefer their salad chopped and mixed. Some like it in big leafy pieces and shredded/chopped squash. Most appreciate it when you change things around now and then. If you have a hard time getting your iguana to eat, try going into another room and "rearranging" the salad a bit and bringing it back. Sometimes that's all it takes. Or add tiny pieces of fruit he likes. Sometimes my igs will go thru phases like your when they will be stubborn about eating, or they decide without my knowledge to change around their pooping schedule, deciding to go early morning on my shoes when before they preferred to go in the afternoon, in the tub. That's life with an iguana! I provided a link at the bottom to Melissa's picky eaters page, it may be of some help. Good luck!
