Well I certainly don't like the mix... it is an evil looking mush. It doesn't look like my beardies or ig touched any of it. (It is hard to tell with the ig since he has a shallow bowl and kicks food around.)

So what about they soy powder? Should I ever add any for protein? That could be sprinkled like vitamin and calcium, so I can add a little or a lot.

: personally, i wouldn't worry about trying to get the alfalfa in at all ... and chances are, your ig's *not* gonna like it ... as far as protein content goes, your ig's gonna get all the protein it needs from the greens + vegies!!! i wouldn't be adding extra to the salad, maybe just find some vegies that have a bit higher protein content and feed them once in a while ... too much protein, even if it's plant protein, is still hard on the kidneys ...

: make greens the majority of the salad and add varying vegies as "salad sprinkles" ... same as with fruit, it won't stay fresh as long if you mix it all up together ... i make seperate baggies of grated/sliced vegies and then a big bag of mixed greens and only mix 2 meals at a time together ... iZ gets some fruit on top of his supper salad only ...

: have y'all been to Jen Swofford's site??? her diet is based on MK's (without the alfalfa) and is a good one ...

: also check out the USDA site ... you can llok up various foods and get their nutritional content ...

: best wishes!
