You know Zoomed.com 's pastic-coated wire cages?

Immagine one 8 feet squared (two actually, one in-doors other out-doors) with a lot of goodies and space.
It's "disassembleable" and it's excellent in many ways.
Lotsa air circulation, 360` view all-around, and easy to clean/disinfect. Plus, it gives additional climbingpossibilities.

Hatfield's is awsome looking, but to me, it looks pricey to build, and a pain in the @$$ to do so as well. But i must admit it'd look great in the living room!

Inside mine i got plastic vines, logs, fake ibiscus, 4'x4' "pool" for soaking, a 1'x1' "toilet" (yes, he is potty-trained"), food bowl, and as for substrate i use astro-turf (in tiles, for ease of removal/cleaning in case they get soiled). All the lighting and gadgets sit atop.

Quiet nice looking indeed. A pain to humidify, but i often mist Soni (my ig).

The out-door one is an exact replica, w/o the UV and basking lights (duh). At night he comes back in his 'villa'.

So, what do you think?
Following HAtfield's Habitat is great too, if you are good with tools and stuff.

Unfortunately, i'm in a "Stone-Age" limbo here, and am not able to post pics of the enclosure, nor of Soni. Maybe some day!

C-YA!

Ig Joe

: How many people have actually built the cage in Hatfield III's book? And about how much did it cost you?
