Just how much exactly?

I've been offering about 1/4 cup of salad to Minga everyday, and it's only about half eaten.... Exactly how much do hatchlings eat everyday? I offer it fresh in the morning, and throw away any that is left from the day before... I know to offer it everyday, but was just wondering what's the appropriate amount. Thanx for any help : )
