: Hey Sara
: I have a 2 year old too, and he is not allowed to touch Spike or anything that comes in contact with him - just to be safe - and I use alco-gel, it's supposed to kill like 99% of germs, before I close the cage door then go wash my hands with an anti-bacterial soap. Boy don't I sound paranoid? But, I don't ever want to deal with my son getting salmonella.
: Good luck, aren't baby igs soooo cute?
: Roxanne

Oh I hear you about the hand washing. I do it too after I even pet Minga! and as of yet, My daughter isn't allowed to handle the ig either. Too fast and I haven't ig proofed yet! BUt we have lots of instant sanitizer and antibacterial soap on top of that : ) I really did come to the right place!
