First of all, congrats on your new baby! I too, got Rex when he was a baby, and one thing I noticed was that when everything was new, he seemed alot calmer then he is now. It seemed like the more he got used to me, the more he thinks of me as a big tree rather than a scary human. Now when I pick him up, he goes nuts trying to reach the highest point on me (top of my head) where as before he sat on my arm very still almost as if he was thinking "if I stay real still, I won't end up in the soup pot!" So, don't be surprised if yours does the same.

You're little one is still too small to tell if it's a he or a she....you'll have to wait until it's about 18 months old to know. In the meanwhile, if you can post some pics, we have some pretty good guessers on the forum! :)

Would also be a good idea to have Minga checked out by a qualified herp vet just in case. Until you get a clean bill of health from the vet you'll never know for sure! Iguana's are masters at hiding any illness until it's too late.

Any more questions, don't hesitate to ask! You have come to the best place on the web for info, not to mention some really nice people!

Take Care!
Tracie
