Yeah, this is one of those things. This product might not actually work the way it claims to since one vet says it's not worth it & another says it is, etc. For all I know the reason it was helping us was because since it costs more than just running some water into my spray bottle, I actually used it daily more conscientiously than I do plain water.
Then there is the possibility that during all her gyrations during her handling while dealing with the prolapse problem & the post op period that she may have injured this tip but since it had always looked "dead & dry," none of us noticed a new problem with it.
OR since we couldn't mist or soak her for a long time postop AND her appetite was down for almost 2 months after the op, perhaps it became a victim of dehydration?
But what has happened, has happened and there's nothing I can do about it. I'll continue to treat it & if there's any outward change for the worse, I'll take her to the vet.
I try to live by the advice of someone else....."just make sure you don't make the same mistake twice" LOL
