While I agree that it never hurts to have reference materials around the house, one book should never become your bible on iguana care. If you ask around, specificly people who have been caring for iguanas for a long time, they will tell you that "IFD" by Kaplan is not all it's cracked up to be but a worthy read nonetheless.

Kaplan has some great info in her book but there are also several downfalls. That is why many people suggest reading more than one book.
